SLIME CARE

Our Slime is made with lots of love and it needs to be cared for once it leaves us. Depending where you live, your slime could arrive melted due to hot weather, or hard due to cold weather.  You can find fixes for these problems below.

Things to remember:

1.   Poke your slime with 1 finger to make sure it isn’t too sticky. 2. We recommend making activator before attempting to touch your slime. 3.  Wash and dry your hands before touching slime. (Slime will leave a residue/stick to dirty hands.) 4.  Play with slime on or over a clean table. 5.  Handle slime quickly so it doesn’t stick to your hands. 6.  Have fun and get creative. There’s no wrong way to play with slime. 7.   Keep slime in an air- tight container when not in use.

How to make & use activator:

1.  Add 1/2 tsp borax (provided) to 1/2 cup o f warm water. 2. Mix solution until the borax dissolves. 3. Add solution to slime in SMALL AMOUNTS. 4. Knead slime until smooth. 5. Save mixture for future use NB: Too much activator will ruin your slime

GENERAL TIPS

Sticky or melted slime?

Add a couple drops of activator into the slime and knead until not sticky.  Make sure to add small amounts of activator at a time, adding too much will ruin your slime.

Hard or stiff slime?

Knead in some lotion or baby oil (not recommended for clear slime, as it will affect the clarity) or let the slime sit near sunlight for a few days, as it will naturally soften.

Caring for your slime:

Slime has a limited life span.

It is normal for slime to shrink and deflate over time.

1.   Wash and dry your hands before touching your slime to reduce the dirt/dust caught in your slime.

2.  Always keep your slime in it’s container when you’re not playing with it to prevent it from drying out.

3.  Reactivate it frequently. It’s difficult to activate slime that has completely melted.

4.  Store out of the sun or in a cool place.
